A well-established and growing transportation and logistics company is seeking a hands-on Transportation Operations Manager to lead daily trucking, dispatch, and logistics operations at a busy regional office. This leadership role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands both operations and customer service, and knows how to build high-performing teams while driving profitability and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day transportation, dispatch, and logistics operations
- Lead, coach, and develop dispatch and operations personnel to achieve company performance goals
- Ensure freight is moved efficiently while maximizing equipment utilization and driver productivity
- Monitor revenue performance, operational KPIs, and overall service levels
- Resolve transportation issues quickly and proactively to minimize service disruptions and delays
- Partner with senior leadership on operational strategy, process improvements, and growth initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key business partners
- Coordinate fleet maintenance scheduling and communicate repair priorities with maintenance teams
- Assist with evaluating operational investments, equipment utilization, and cost-efficiency initiatives
- Promote a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability, communication, and customer satisfaction
- Support driver performance management and operational compliance initiatives
Qualifications
- 5 years of transportation or trucking industry experience
- 5 years of leadership experience managing operations, dispatch, or transportation teams
- Strong understanding of trucking operations, logistics coordination, and customer service
- Experience leading both operational and administrative functions in a transportation environment
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), logistics software, and Microsoft Office
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
